If you think this will be difficult to stick to, then choose activities you will have fun doing. Try to get your friends involved by asking them to walk with you. Consider taking a hike if you love being outside. If you enjoy dancing you should take a class and learn a new routine.


If your pantry is devoid of junk food, you will make healthier snack choices. Instead of junk food, fill your kitchen with healthy foods like fresh fruits and vegetables and granola. Avoid purchasing the foods you should not have so it will not be in your cupboards when you are hungry. A simple way to avoid junk foods that can terrorize your weight loss goal is to simply not buy them in the first place.


You cannot lose weight because your doctor says you should or your husband wants you to do it. You have to decide you are going to lose weight because you want to do it for yourself. Having the support of your family and friends makes achieving your goals easier. Weight loss is a hard thing to do, and you will be able to stay on track if you have support, especially when you feel discouraged or unmotivated. When you want to quit and feel unmotivated you can always talk with a person who is always there for you to keep you going.
